Today on Insight, John and Josh Rosenstern discuss the Presidents of Turkey and Russia planning to meet in Russia to discuss the Black Sea grain deal. The UN and Turkey arranged the deal last summer, with Russia leaving the arrangement most recently. The deal helped with the exports of certain products, like grain, to be transported out of the Ukraine without Russian interference. The agreement was primarily made to prevent food shortages in the world, which causes product prices to rise. Russia and Turkey oppose US presence in Syria, as Russian President, Putin plans to meet with the President of China in the near future. China is pushing for influence in many countries in an effort to surpass the influence of the United States.
