Big Win! Today on Insight, Josh Rosenstern shares the Supreme Court decision stopping the COVID vaccine mandates through OSHA for employers with over 100 employees. The decision resulted in a six to three vote. Justice Gorsuch wrote the majority opinion, stating that the overarching point was “who decides” these standards, determining that the power should not be in a federal institution or agency like OSHA. They upheld that the local and state levels should make these decisions. Brother Josh explains our check and balance system in the United States, which was created by the Constitution. In a five to four vote, Brother Josh says unfortunately this ruling will not apply for many healthcare providers with more than 100 employees, as they will have to require their employees to be vaccinated if they receive Medicaid and Medicare funds.
