Today on Insight, John and Josh Rosenstern discuss the current debate over invoking more gun control laws for Americans, as the Senate negotiates just who should be allowed to own a gun. Brother Josh says there are plenty of Red Flag laws already on the books in several states. He says adding more, through the Federal Government, might not be the best in terms of forcing the states to comply or change current laws in order to receive increased Federal funding. He believes more layers of government are not the answer to the gun problem. Mental health screening is also being negotiated in an effort to stop gun sales to those who are not mentally fit, especially looking at the age group between 18 and 21. Brother John says currently two-thirds of all gun deaths in the United States are the result of suicide.
