Today on Insight, John and Josh Rosenstern discuss a Supreme Court case being addressed called Carson versus Macon involving school districts in Maine involving contracts with private schools when a public school is not nearby. The parents are helped with the tuition for the private school. It must be non-sectarian in nature; and three families have filed lawsuits. The issue is involving three schools which have biblical world views or scripture focused and thus are fighting for funding from the state involving LGBTQIA+ in hiring and funding from the state that is not to be spent on religious activities. The Supreme Court will decide on the issue of religious instruction determine the potential for Christian schools receiving funding when there are no other public schools in the area. Brother John asks what is really on trial? Conforming to alternative lifestyles or be punished. Does religious freedom supersede that which is deemed to be in the best interest of the public?
