Are you carrying an unexpected Cross? Jesus carried it first. Today at Family Worship Center, Bishop Tim Hill, the former General Overseer of the Church of God, reads Matthew 27:57-61 sharing a powerful story of Joseph of Arimathaea who begged Pontius Pilate for the body of Jesus Christ following the Crucifixion to prepare it for burial. We are the body of Christ in this world today, and we should have the spirit of Joseph on us, pleading for the body of Christ. We must be the body of Christ and represent Jesus and proclaim the gospel to the world. Preachers and believers alike must stand for the truth of God’s Word and beg for the body of Christ. There is an urgency of the hour for the church to return to the old path. The body of Christ needs to be wrapped in sound doctrine for this is where the anointing falls.
