DIG YOUR DITCH, AND GET READY FOR RAIN— Tonight Pastor Grace Brumley preaches from II Kings 3:9-11 and verses 17-20 sharing the Israelite’s struggle in the wilderness of Edom. They gathered under the three Kings to fight the Moabites in the midst of the dry desert. Sister Grace reminds how these kings were equipped for war, with much power and might, but yet their desperation in the midst of the situation left them in a panic for water. King Jehoshaphat steps in and asks, is there not a man of God to help? Elisha is present, and calls a minstrel to play music and the hand of God comes on him; the answer, make this valley full of ditches in this desert. Sister Grace asks us, what is our barren place? God wants the ground prepared so He can move. We need to dig now, even if it looks impossible. We must trust the Lord, and prepare for His blessings. He said I will pour water on your dry and thirsty soul, and fill your dry valley; and behold the country was filled with water. God will do the same for our wilderness; get ready!
