THE BREAKING POINT— Peter told the Lord, I will never deny you. Tonight at Family Worship Center, Pastor Shaun Murphy preaches from Mark 14:26-31, 69-72. How do we get where Peter was when he said he would not deny the Lord, and then he does, three times? A foundation in flesh will result in flesh; and feeding the flesh. We must pray and be diligent to watch for Christ’s return. We must look for His return, but while waiting, being conformed into His image. After falling asleep while praying, Peter pulls his sword cutting off a soldier’s ear. Pastor Shaun says here we see Peter in his flesh, and Jesus says put your sword away. The Lord does not need our help. We’ve all been to a breaking point. We must put down our sword and let Christ fight our battle. We must get back to our one true foundation and let the sanctification process of God go to work in our lives. He alone will change us into His image.
