FORGIVENESS IS NOT VICTORY- Tonight at Family Worship Center, Pastor Dave Smith teaches from Exodus 3:7-9 encouraging us, through the life of Moses, that God will use us despite our insecurities. All believers have a call of God on their lives. God is patient with us even when we don’t respond to His call accordingly, just as Israel spent nearly forty years in the wilderness.. Brother Smith says God forgives us when we ask, and even when we fail there are always positives among the disappointments. God brought us out of the world to bring us into something much greater, a Promise Land, if you will. Often times, when we are “in the wilderness”, we are not seeing fruit in our lives. We are in fear, and likely desiring the things of the world. Brother Smith reminds us of King David’s prayer of repentance in Psalm 51, create in me a clean heart O God, and renew a right Spirit in me. The power of sin was broken at Calvary’s Cross; He still seeks to rewrite the story of our lives, no matter how many times we fall. The believer must get back up, and take up His Cross daily; He is still the healer of broken hearts. He is our lighthouse.
