DON’T GIVE ME THAT NEW TIME RELIGION- If we get Jesus wrong, it doesn’t matter what we get right. Tonight at Family Worship Center, Pastor Mike Muzzerall, reads 2nd Corinthians 11:1-4 warning of false teachers, and directs us to the simplicity that is found in Christ. As believers, we must anchor our faith in the finished work of Christ; then and only then, will the Holy Spirit build on our solid foundation that is in Christ. We need discernment so we are not led astray. Everything must line up with the Word of God. Sin has not changed over time, and neither has God’s view of sin changed. God loves us so much that He wants our sin gone. The death of Christ on Calvary’s Cross addressed all of man’s sin, past, present, and future. The devil wants us to be entangled with our sinful past, but when we repent of our sin, and say yes to Jesus Christ, our sin is forgiven and is to be remembered no more. Now as believers, the Holy Spirit will convict us of sin we have today, and point us to the Cross of Calvary once again, where He has, and will, take care of it all. It is finished!
