THE OLD YOU IS DEAD AND THE NEW YOU IS ALIVE- Tonight at Family Worship Center, Pastor Bob Cornell, from Covenant Church in Murfreesboro Tennessee, preaches from Romans 6:3-6 and verse 9 teaching on the believer’s growth in the Lord. All too often, many Christians get saved and never grow in their faith. When a believer’s faith is stagnant, they can frustrate the Holy Spirit. We must always see Jesus increase in our lives, and self must decrease. Jesus brings together what sin divides. When we come to the knowledge that we are baptized into Christ’s death, then we know we are immersed into Christ. This is where the believer can have confidence in knowing we are more In Christ than anything else; more than in our depression, in our anxiety, fear, or sin. Brother Bob says this is not just head knowledge, but also an experiential knowledge. Our old man has been crucified with Christ, therefore, we can know instinctually who we are in Christ.
