STOP LIVING LIKE SIN IS IN CONTROL- The finished work of Christ, on Calvary’s Cross, sets the believer free from the bondage of the sin nature. Tonight at Family Worship Center, Crossfire Pastor Paris Ragan reads Romans 6:12-14 preaching on law and grace. At salvation, we go from slavery and being dominated by evil to a servant of Jesus Christ. God intended for His children to be a royal priesthood, demonstrating who He is. In the Old Covenant, the children of Israel, who failed in the wilderness, did so because they didn’t approach Him by faith. There is a standard of holiness the believer is called to, and it is an even higher standard under the New Covenant. Chapter six of the Book of Romans tells us how to do, the what to do, which is to keep our faith anchored in the finished work of Christ alone, and the Holy Spirit will work on our behalf to transform us into the image of Christ. When we are crucified with Christ, our old man is put to death and we are free, free, free at last. Miserable Christianity ends at the feet of Jesus, if we know how to receive God’s grace, and believe it. Will you believe it?
