THE BEATITUDES- Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. Today at Family Worship Center, Pastor Gabriel Swaggart reads Matthew 5:8-12 as he continues his teaching on the blessings given by Jesus in the Sermon on the Mount. God works in the heart, and it takes faith to believe what all He can do. It’s not about the intellect of man, but it is about the acceptance of something; by faith, a believer’s heart accepts His truth. At salvation, there is a great change from the inside out. Pure means clean without hypocrisy. Only faith anchored in the Cross of Christ will allow us to attain the holiness that is required of us. We are called to be peacemakers within the church, and with those outside of the family of God. Christians must stop fighting with one another, for we must stand together to reach the lost. Persecution will come as we hunger and thirst for His righteousness; but be encouraged, that’s when we know we are in the right place. God’s desire for all His children should be our desire, to be less like me, and more like Jesus, is all I ask.
