THE DANGER OF EMPTY RELIGION- Too many people profess Christianity, but do not know the Christ of Christianity. Today at Family Worship Center, Pastor Gabriel Swaggart reads Matthew 7:21-23. People must take heed to not just be doers of religious activity. We must know the Christ of the Bible. Religion, without relationship, is a false counterfeit. Empty religion can make you look alive, but all the while be spiritually dead. As Christians, we should be living a changed life. It’s not just a profession of “Lord, Lord”, but it is a submission to His Lordship.
Empty religion propels us straight to hell, while relationship results in heaven. Jesus Himself said, many will say Lord, Lord do you remember me? But Christ will say depart from me you worker of iniquity, I never knew you. Our Christian doing is not what Christ is looking for; we must have a changed heart.
