GRAPES, GREAT CITIES, GIANTS, AND GRASSHOPPERS— Today Pastor Donnie Swaggart preaches from Numbers 13:23-33, encouraging us to not delay the plan God has for our lives. He shares how the Israelites delayed entering into the Promise Land by some 38 years due to their disobedience. We must learn from the mistakes of those who have gone before. As the majority grumbled, Joshua, a type of Christ, and Caleb led them through the wilderness. Christians must build faith on their personal victories, and they will have manna for tomorrow. Pastor Donnie reminds us of Joseph and how he was betrayed by his own brothers, but he forgave them; and even in prison the Lord was with Joseph. He made his cell a house of worship, and he became the viceroy of the Pharaoh. Brother Donnie reminds us that unforgiveness will stop the flow of God’s grace in our lives. We must remember, while we see the negatives before us, as the Israelites saw strong great cities, giants, and grasshoppers; Caleb said, let us go up at once and possess it, for we are well able to overcome it. Remember, God’s report is always a good report.
