THE GIANT WILL FALL- Today Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart encourages us in 1 Samuel 17:45-46 that we are not to have a Spirit of fear. He says while David stepped up to slay Goliath with just 5 stones and a sling shot, he had naysayers who thought he was a fool. Brother Swaggart says, as believers we likely find the same from our family and friends when we try to share the Gospel; as usually our greatest enemies are those closest to us. God will use people who no one else sees value in. David even rejected putting on any armor for protection; he knew it wasn’t needed, just his faith was. Brother Swaggart reminds us that the Cross is more than enough to fight the giants in our lives. And while we blatantly see our earthly foes, we must remember there is a giant on the inside that only the Holy Spirit can conquer. But remember, just one stone killed Goliath; and just one look to Calvary’s Cross can cause our giant to fall as well, and freedom will reign.
