FOR I HAVE PROVIDED- Today at Family Worship Center, Pastor Donnie Swaggart reads from 1st Samuel 16:1, teaching on the provision of God. In this story, the prophet Samuel was mourning over the actions of a backslidden King Saul. While Saul was not God’s choice for king, God still uses the situation to speak to His children. Brother Donnie says God will show us His will by speaking to us through His Word, His ministers, and through prayer. When we call on Him, He will answer, for He knows what troubles us. While like Samuel, we only see the problem right in front of us; but God knows, what is ahead. God asked Samuel, how long will you mourn over King Saul? God’s provision would be King David, offering the lineage for our Savior, Healer, and Deliverer to come. When we yield to Him and His will, we will find the Comforter, who gives peace, and joy unspeakable because He is our Provider.
