SIT STILL MY DAUGHTER AND SEE WHAT THE MAN WILL DO- Today at Family Worship Center, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart reads Ruth 3:18, sharing one of the greatest stories of redemption. Famine drove Naomi and her family to the evil land of Moab where child sacrifices were common practice; even still, her sons married Moabites. Brother Swaggart points out that if they had not gone outside of the will of God, by leaving Bethlehem, there would have never been the story of Ruth. When Naomi’s husband and sons died, she returned to Bethlehem; Ruth was committed to stay by her mother-in-law's side. She was consecrated to Naomi, as we are to be consecrated in our walks with God. Naomi had nothing to offer Ruth, but she found her kinsman redeemer, Boaz, as she gleaned from the fields. Brother Swaggart says Ruth's consecration took her from poverty to owning the farm when she married Boaz. She went from a cursed Moabitess to an ancestor of Jesus Christ; be faithful and patient, and see what the Lord will do.
