THE MAKING OF A CHRISTIAN— Sanctification is instant, and it is also progressive. Today Pastor Gabriel Swaggart preaches from Genesis 32:24-28, sharing the story of Jacob to help us to understand the process of walking a victorious Christian life. Jacob’s life was a transformation, from scheming, deception, and self-reliance, to His reliance turning from self to God. Through it all, even physically wrestling with the Lord, God strengthened him and blessed him with the birthright he had been promised to have from the beginning. God even changed his name from Jacob, which meant supplanter or schemer, to Israel, which means a Prince with God. Pastor Gabe reminds us that faith will always be put through a test; this is where every believer grows. Do you know your name?
