CHARACTERISTICS OF A CHRISTIAN- Today at Family Worship Center, Pastor Gabriel Swaggart reads Ephesians 4:1-6, teaching on how our Christian doctrine moves into action. Our Christian foundation will always be faith anchored in the finished work of Jesus Christ at the Cross, but we must know how the doctrine of the Cross is lived out in our lives. The Apostle Paul is teaching the Ephesians how there must be more than just head knowledge. The Cross must live in our hearts; then we will seek God to lead us in our calling for His will to be done. When we are redeemed, there is a change; pride must go, and humility and meekness move in. God will give us patience and forbearance and through His mercy and grace we will be able to love with an agape love. This can only be done by the Holy Spirit moving and operating in our lives. This is progressive sanctification that results from proper faith. This is the fruit of the Spirit. All believers are called to be a light in the world.
