PUT OFF THE OLD MAN AND PUT ON THE NEW- A new man in Christ should have no pride or selfishness. Today at Family Worship Center, Pastor Gabriel Swaggart reads Ephesians 4:17-24 teaching on the change that occurs at salvation. For one who has not met the Savior, there is darkness, alienation, and blindness. Pastor Gabe says there is a very obvious external change after one has internally given their heart to Jesus Christ. We cannot live like we used to, we no longer belong to Satan. In Christ we put off the old man, we are a new creation. Satan will still try to corrupt the believer, but we can have victory over sin as we anchor our faith in the finished work of Christ; the Holy Spirit will transform us and renew our minds daily. The new man progressively becomes more like Christ by faith; His sacrifice makes it possible to daily live a life that glorifies the Lord.
