TRAGEDY TO TRIUMPH— David’s life was an open book. Today Pastor Gabriel Swaggart preaches from Psalm 3:1-8. This time for David may have started in tragedy, but it ended in triumph. David was called by God to be Israel’s king, and Israel experienced some of the greatest victories during their time of obedience. But David’s son, Absalom, came against his father to take the kingdom and turn the hearts of the people. David fled the palace in disgrace in the middle of the night. Pastor Gabe says when our enemies of life come to destroy us, we should not run to man, but to God; just as David knew that was the only thing he could do. Even though we make mistakes in life, God doesn’t change His mind about those He calls. Just call on God, no matter the circumstance, and He will be your shield and protection.
