Do you marvel at the failure of David but yet the Lord sees his heart? Today on the Message of the Cross, Brother Swaggart and panel look into Galatians 6:1. Here Paul is addressing a constant problem in the church that is still happening today. This pertains to moral failure. Brother Swaggart explains that restoration of an individual can only take place with the understanding of what Christ accomplished on the Cross. Brother Larson points out that Paul was talking to Christians. He says, we must be strong to say don’t divert your faith from the Cross, but Paul has compassion that he knows this happens. Restoration needs to take place, but how is that done? Brother Swaggart reminds we must stay scriptural; otherwise, you have sinful man addressing sinful man. The Holy Spirit makes it clear that we must restore, not eliminate. Brother Carl Brown says this is something the church has been ignorant of. Brother Dave Smith adds that once we repent and are forgiven by Christ, then the believer needs to know how to have victory over that sin. Brother Joseph Larson says the church seems to have more compassion for the lost than it does for the believer in the church. Brother Josh Rosenstern says the church needs to learn proper restoration for those in the church the same as for anyone lost, then the healing is in the hands of the Holy Spirit.
