Everything that is contrary to God is darkness. Today on The Message of The Cross, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel read Ephesians 5:8 discussing how before becoming a believer, man is deemed as darkness, in the Word of God. When we place our faith in the finished work of Christ, we come out of that darkness and come into the light. Every command given in the Word of God must be given from the foundation of Calvary. Jesus said He is the light of the world; when we are in Christ, we walk in Light. There is no light outside of Him; therefore, if the believer does not continually anchor their faith in Christ crucified they will not walk in the benefits of the light of Christ.
