For by grace are we saved, through faith. Today on The Message of The Cross, Pastor Loren Larson and panel discuss what it means to be united with Christ. At salvation, we are crucified with Christ, buried with Him, and raised again in newness of life. Romans seven warns us to not take the problem of sin into our own hands. The believer is never to trust in his or her own self-efforts. The only way we can have the power of the Holy Spirit working and helping us to walk out our Christian life in victory is through faith alone in the finished work of Christ. We must not frustrate the grace of God, for if righteousness comes by the law, then Christ has died in vain.
