Today on The Message of the Cross, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel discuss how the believer walks in the light of Christ. His light in our lives will expose our sin. Pastor Dave Watts tells us how any ongoing unrepented sin, will eventually eat away at the believer’s faith. We must not try to sanctify ourselves, for it cannot be done. The Holy Spirit will convict the believer of what needs to go, and He will make those changes in us. The only way this transformation can take place is by faith in the finished work of Christ alone, then the Holy Spirit will transform us into the image of Christ. We are saved supernaturally, and we grow supernaturally as well. He is the Lord that sanctifies us. We must learn to live and be dependent on Christ crucified, knowing that we are already victorious because of what He did on Calvary’s Cross.
