The panel discusses the salvation of man, which can only come by way of the Cross. Brother Larson explains that the believer must know that the gospel brings sinful man freedom from the penalty of his sin and freedom from the ongoing power of sin. We are free from the law when we are joined to Christ. Through death, Christ kept the law for us. Man could not, and cannot keep all the law all the time; therefore, by faith in the finished work of Christ, we have Christ’s righteousness imputed to us.
