Today on The Message of The Cross, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel read Romans 7:10, discussing the wages of sin and the idea we can deal with sin by living by the law. We can only have justification and sanctification by faith. Anything outside of faith in Christ will only bring about death. We must see ourselves in the light of the finished work of Christ. When we are crucified with Christ, self must die. It is not the believer who lives and works out our own salvation, but it is Christ who lives in us. Proper faith in His finished work will allow the Holy Spirit to transform us into the image of Christ.
