The just shall live by faith. Today on The Message of The Cross, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel read Galatians 3:11. No man is justified by the law, but by faith as the power of the gospel goes forth. The panel applauds our many missionaries taking the Expositor’s Study Bible all over the world. The Mosaic Law in the Old Covenant was temporal, but it pointed to what was to come, in Christ Jesus. The Cross is the event to where the New Covenant was cut. The law is not sufficient to do what only the Holy Spirit can do in us when our faith is solely in Christ. Romans 4:5-9 is clear, our union with Christ frees us from the law of old, our righteousness comes by faith in Christ alone.
