The plan of God will be fulfilled; it may be delayed, but it is never stopped. Today on the Message of The Cross, Brother Swaggart and panel discuss the family and the Tribe of Judah through which Jesus would come. Brother Swaggart says the Lord had promised a Redeemer that would be born through the Tribe of Judah. The Lord had dwelt in a Tabernacle for several hundreds of years. David wanted to build the Lord a Temple, but the Lord wanted Solomon to build it. The Temple was where God would reside. Brother John says David was a type of the judgment of God on the neighboring nations. While David was deemed a man of war, and Solomon was to be of peace. God blessed David with the plans and material for the Temple, all laid out by the design of God for Solomon to execute. Brother Swaggart says this depicts how the church should be today. God has provided the divine plan for how the church should be today, but so many want to change the details of God’s Covenant. Brother Larson reminds, in the New Covenant, the Temple is now the child of God. The church must take heed to how it builds the Temple of God; for the preaching of the Cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but unto those who are being saved it is the power of God. 1 Corinthians 1:18
