We must know the object of our faith in order to live a victorious Christian life. Today on The Message of The Cross, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel read Galatians 4:30 discussing how the sin nature in a life of a believer is made dormant at salvation. With properly anchored faith in the finished work of Christ, the sin nature will remain unplugged so the Holy Spirit can work to change us into the image of Christ. Brother John says, all too often, the church wrongly teaches the focus on acts of sin, and the work one can do to overcome these acts of sin. Sin must be disconnected at the root, and no man can work to do this. Christ alone won our fight on Calvary's Cross, shutting down the power of sin in the believer’s life. It is finished.
