Mercy, rewrote my life. Today on The Message of the Cross, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and the panel discuss sin and how the Prodigal son thought he was running from the bondage of his father to a life of freedom. Brother Adam says in reality he was running from the safety and protection that his father’s house offered him. This is the way of the sin nature, just as we saw in the Garden of Eden; man wants his own way, to be his own God. When we recognize our sin and repent to God, He will reveal Himself to us and save our souls no matter the sin. Just as there is not enough good we can do to earn heaven, there is not enough bad that we have done that can send us to hell.
