The Message of the Cross

The gospel is God’s plan to redeem mankind; the Cross alone will deliver the lost. Today on The Message of The Cross, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel welcome special guest Pastor Mike Mounce, of At The Cross Family Worship Center in Cuba Missouri. The panel discusses the evils of psychology and how it does not acknowledge the subject of sin; thus, psychology cannot be mixed with the gospel. The preaching of the Cross is to them who perish foolishness, but to those who are saved, it is the power of God. Brother Swaggart says it is unfortunate that so many pastors do not understand how to live for God and have victory over sin. At salvation, we are sanctified and justified instantly because we are covered by the blood. Now, there is fruit to come; as the believer’s faith stays anchored in the finished work of Christ the Holy Spirit will progressively sanctify our condition into the position that we have In Christ.
