Jesus Christ's death at Calvary fulfilled the contract of the Old Covenant. Today on The Message of The Cross, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel discuss how everything of the law pointed to Christ. It had a transitory nature, that means it was transitional, it becomes something else when the seed comes. Brother Larson explains how the law can in no way be kept by man; man tries to keep a few of the laws, i.e., circumcision, the Jewish calendar, and food laws. God gave revelation of Himself in creation, consciousness of man, Law, and then ultimately the seed; Jesus Christ gives the greatest revelation of God and He gives a better covenant and a better promise. Man cannot work out his own salvation. Jesus Christ alone fulfilled the law, becoming an everlasting covenant, which is the only way man can “do” the law. We must be in Christ and believe on His finished work alone.
