Everything Christ did on this earth He did as the man, Christ Jesus, led by the Holy Spirit. Today on The Message of The Cross, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel discuss how Christ was always God, but He laid aside His deity because He came to pay the price of sin for all mankind on Calvary’s Cross. Because of Christ’s death on the Cross, all believer’s sin can be purged totally and completely. Our redemption came by God coming to earth; Brother Swaggart says it’s who Christ is and what He did on the Cross. He is the sinless Lamb of God who came to take away the sin of the world. He now sits at the right hand of the Father and intercedes on our behalf. His very presence guarantees that our sin is forgiven when we ask. He is our mediator and our advocate.
