Evangelism happens under the power of the Holy Spirit. Today on The Message of The Cross, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and the panel discuss how the first church in the Bible was a Spirit filled church, which is our model for church growth. In the book of Acts, Luke emphasizes the power of the Holy Spirit that came on the day of Pentecost. Brother Ragan says modern Pentecostals must recognize the full work of the Holy Spirit by looking at Paul’s and John’s teachings on the Cross for salvation and victory over sin, as well as, combining the focused teaching in Acts, which lays out the power of the Holy Spirit as is given as a second work with the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, which gives the believer power to take the gospel to the world.
