Zealousness in the life of a believer must be rooted in truth. Paul warns the Gentiles to not be persuaded by the Judaizers to their cause. We cannot claim the acceptance of Jesus Christ and hold on to any kind of law. Unfortunately, there is an appeal to the flesh for something to do. We must only put our faith in what Jesus alone did on Calvary's Cross. When we are joined to Christ we are made free from the power of sin. Paul taught the Galatians to be zealous over Christ and Him alone; believers today need to do the same.
