Sin cannot be overcome within our own self-will. We can only be set free by the blood of Jesus. Today on The Message of The Cross, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel discuss restoration. Sinful man is only justified by faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ on Calvary’s Cross. Brother Smith says the Lord, under Holy Spirit conviction, can lead us to repentance; no penance is needed for His forgiveness. Law wrongly brings the idea that a punishment or a penance is required. We cannot pay for our sins, Christ did that. David prayed to the Lord to restore the joy of his salvation. Believing on the work of Christ on Calvary’s Cross will go into the heart of every believer and remove the desire of any bondage that lies within. The panel addresses one of the biggest bondages in a believer’s life, unforgiveness.
