The believer must look within, and seek the Lord to reveal when repentance is needed. Today on The Message of The Cross, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel discuss the original sin of mankind. When our sin is revealed, our recourse is only found in the sacrifice Christ made at Calvary’s Cross. In Psalm 51, David prayed purge me with hyssop, typifying the Israelite’s salvation in their obedience of applying the blood of the lamb to their doorpost. While inside, they were trusting that their faith in the blood would be recognized by God, and they would be spared from the death angel. Similarly, our salvation comes by the way of the Cross; and that is, placing our faith in the blood of Jesus, the perfect Lamb of God.
