What is bondage? Today on The Message of The Cross, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel discuss the bondage that exists in the church today. Reading in the fourth chapter of Galatians, we see the Apostle Paul’s teaching to the Galatians who were beginning to go back under law, as they were being influenced by Judaism. Misapplying Christian disciplines for victory over sin falls into this category of law and works. Pastor Paris says when the believer does this he or she is saying that the blood of Jesus was not enough to pay the price for all sin past, present, and future. All Christians need to know what happened to them when they believed and were united with Jesus Christ. Freedom comes when we trust in that alone.
