Why am I failing as a Christian? Today Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel discuss how we can only grow God’s way. The Holy Spirit will help us live victoriously when our faith is correctly placed in Jesus and His finished work on Calvary’s Cross. When every believer meets Jesus at salvation, they are set free from the power of the sin nature; but so often, when a struggle arises, the believer tries to put his hand to the plow to stop it. Brother Paris says, this is where we must be careful of what we wrongly put our trust in, or try to do, in an effort to achieve righteous living on our own. In Christ, we are made instantaneously free of sin at salvation when we trust in His sacrifice alone, and that is where we stay; planted in faith in His sacrifice, set free from every bondage of sin. We have a Covenant with Christ that is not to be broken.
