Today on The Message of The Cross, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel discuss how Jesus defeated every demon spirit, fallen angel, and Satan himself at Calvary’s Cross. This is where we place our faith and maintain it there; in the finished work of the Cross, this is where the Holy Spirit will give us victory over all powers of darkness, the world, the flesh, and the devil. In this world that is saturated with sin, the Cross is the only place we can find victory over sin. This is the only place sin will respond, it will not respond to psychology or any other efforts of man. The Cross allows us to walk in the realm of the Spirit, in the Kingdom of the Son. If we stay in the Spirit and walk in the Spirit, this is where the believer’s mind is renewed. The law demands perfection, it is against man because we cannot keep it perfectly because we are weak in the flesh; but Jesus Christ did keep it perfectly. Our faith in Him gives us His perfection; He blotted out the handwriting of the ordinances against us, and we are found justified when we believe.
