The Holy Spirit can only work in a believer’s life through the finished work of the Cross. Today on The Message of The Cross, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel read Galatians 5:12 discussing the false doctrine in the church that leads so many believers to struggle for victory. The believer’s faith must be anchored solely in the finished work of Christ. This is the only way the Holy Spirit can work on our behalf to lead us into victory over sin and the powers of darkness. We are washed, justified, and sanctified at salvation; knowing this, we will also grow in grace and the knowledge of the Lord, in all the benefits of what Christ accomplished for us on the Cross.
