A Christian who has a law mindset is one who tries to live for the Lord through his own performance. Today on The Message of The Cross, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel discuss how the Christian is called unto liberty, meaning we are free from the old system of law. We see the Apostle Paul teaching the Galatians the importance of discarding law in order to live a holy life by faith in Christ alone. While it was Mosaic Law then, it is the efforts of self now. Brother Paris reads Romans 7:3-5, and explains how many Christians trust in their own good disciplines for victory over sin in their lives. When we move away from self-dependence, and put total reliance on the finished work of Christ, then we will see the Holy Spirit lead us into His holiness and His righteousness.
