The Cross made the difference. At salvation, we have the Holy Spirit; it’s here, that the Holy Spirit begins to work in our lives. Today on The Message of the Cross, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel read Galatians 3:1-2. The panel explains how having the Holy Spirit at salvation is different than the second subsequent work of receiving the infilling, baptism of the Holy Spirit, which is evidenced by speaking in other tongues. We must first understand the primary work of the Holy Spirit that comes with believing on the finished work of Christ on Calvary’s Cross; if we don’t, the secondary work will fall into misuse. The foundation of faith must be built correctly on the Cross of Christ alone.
