The blood of bulls and goats could not cleanse or take away sin. Today on The Message of The Cross, Brother Swaggart and panel discuss how the Mosaic Law was a temporary measure to address man’s sin. Today, because of the Cross of Christ, the Holy Spirit can come into the heart and life of sinful man and His shed blood covers all sin. Man’s pride can destroy the individual. God gave the law to show us how inadequate we are, and how we are incapable of keeping the law. Now, the law of faith, under the New Covenant, the righteousness of God is fulfilled in us when we place our faith in Christ and not ourselves. We must not frustrate the grace of God. Brother Larson reminds us, we must walk by the Spirit to not fulfill the lusts of the flesh.
