Today on The Message of the Cross, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel read 2nd Corinthians 1:24 discussing the fivefold ministry and its role, which is to edify the body. Note, we are to take heed on how the foundation is laid, for the Chief Cornerstone is Christ. The Evangelist, Prophet, Apostle, Pastor, or teacher is not to be rooted in pride. These are to be called by God alone and bring to the people correction and teaching of the truth of the Word of God, which is the apostolic message of the Cross. The Cross will bring all that God has for us from salvation, sanctification, healing power, the baptism of the Holy Spirit and so much more. These should not bring division, but bring unity within the body of Christ.
