It’s not works that sanctify, but faith. Today on The Message of The Cross, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel welcome Evangelist Jason Stidham, reading Ephesians 2:1-3, discussing the wrath of God and His opposition to sin. We must understand that there is only one solution for man’s problem, and that is the Cross of Christ. Discussing the Apostle Paul’s teachings on flesh and the sin nature, Brother Swaggart says, all too often, Christians wrongly think because of their salvation they will no longer struggle with sin. The Cross leads the believer to living a crucified life. Without proper faith in the finished work of Christ, the Holy Spirit cannot work in the believer’s life to bring about victory over struggles and sin. The Holy Spirit can only work through a man or woman who anchors their faith in the finished work of Christ at Calvary. We must examine ourselves that we are in THE faith; for we, through the Spirit, wait for the hope of righteousness by faith.
