Man is inherently religious. Today on The Message of The Cross, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel discuss the Mosaic Law and how it was fulfilled when Jesus Christ died on Calvary’s Cross. After the Babylonian captivity, and the scattering of the Jews, many Jews still held to the laws of circumcision, the Sabbath, and keeping food laws; however, many Christians in Jerusalem were maintaining their faith in Christ. Paul brings the gospel to Antioch where many Jews and Gentiles were being saved, and it became a powerful church under the message of Christ and Him crucified. Brother Swaggart says the Lord chose this city to spread the gospel around the world. Antioch was a cradle for Christianity as it was the third largest city of the Roman Empire of that day.
