Today on The Message of The Cross, Brother Swaggart and panel welcome special guest Vietnam Veteran and Purple Heart recipient, Dave Roever. He was a special forces, Brown Water Black Beret, a "boat guy" for the Navy Seals; under attack during the Vietnam war, a phosphorous grenade went off six inch from his head as it was shot out of his hand. The panel also welcomed Dan Dang, who joins Brother Roever in many efforts to bridge and build relations and the Christian church in Vietnam. Brother Dang will be translating the Expositor’s Study bible in the language of the Hmong people of Vietnam, and some of Thailand and China. This endeavor will reach several millions with this Bible translation alone. Brother Roever doesn’t blame God for his injuries; he says, men did this, in war, and God is the Master of repair. He was once told, that God knew He could trust Mr. Roever with these scars; and when he realized that, he no longer suffered from suicidal thoughts. Since 911, and the global war on terror, Brother Dave offers spiritual healing for veterans suffering from PTSD, a moral injury; his ranches are based in Colorado and Texas. He wants to see the twenty-two veteran suicides that are committed everyday come to an end. He says with God, there is hope.
