Today on The Message of the Cross, Brother Swaggart and panel discuss how Christians can mock God. Brother Swaggart says at some time or another, all Christians have mocked God. But he asks, are we mocking God now? If any believer is putting their faith in anything other than the Cross of Christ, then you are mocking God. The Message of the Cross is the finished work of Christ on the Cross, not the wooden beam. Brother Larson goes on to say we insult God to the highest degree when we put faith in something other than His finished work. The panel discusses what such things frustrate the grace of God. Brother Daye Smith deciphers the difference of the wrong object of faith and committing an act of sin; both are equally insulting to God. Spiritual works of the flesh are looked at for an understanding to what God truly means by sowing to the Spirit. God wants a believer to put their faith in Christ crucified alone so the Spirit can lead in the believer’s life.
